Aquatic Therapy is a treatment modality which entails a purposeful progression of skills focusing on psychosocial, cognitive, leisure and motor performance utilizing the properties of water. We increase these benefits by keeping our swim/spa at a constant 96 degrees. This helps the muscles to relax and decreases the chance a patient will not be able to tolerate therapy in the pool due to becoming cold.

Water is a wonderful medium to receive therapy services in, especially warm water. There are many things that happen naturally while in water that aid the recovery from an injury.
Aquatic therapy is very beneficial in the early onset of rehab following an orthopedic injury. Aquatic therapy is also a great way to reduce pain and swelling of multiple joints in the body. Aquatic therapy in pediatrics provides a means for relaxation of otherwise tense musculature and it provides an alternative for gravity reduced ambulation activities.
